La Opinión Features everybody dance!

La OpiniónSince first opening its doors eight years ago in a low income housing project just west of downtown Los Angeles, everybody dance! has given thousands of inner-city kids quality dance training in ballet, tap, hip-hop, creative movement, and modern dance.

Arthur Duncan to Receive Gregory Hines Humanitarian Award

duncan_kids.jpgSquires PR has the latest news on ”the King of Tap,” Arthur Duncan …

On May 31, he’ll be honored by the Gabriella Axelrad Education Foundation with the ”Gregory Hines Humanitarian Award.” Earlier this month, he was awarded an honorary doctorate in Performing Arts in American Dance from Oklahoma City University.

He told us he plans to give himself a third award, which will be “a cold martini.” Then he asked us not to print that???!!! Sorry Dr. Duncan!!
