Colleen Crabtree Lands Featured Role in “I Love You, Man”
Los Angeles, CA (April, 2008) – Colleen Crabtree has landed a featured role in “I Love You, Man,” a DreamWorks comedy starring Paul Rudd and Jason Segel and directed by John Hamburg.
In “I Love You, Man,” Paul Rudd plays a newly engaged guy who sets out to find the perfect “Best Man” (Jason Segel) for his wedding.
Crabtree plays a quirky real estate agent/friend of Peter’s (Paul Rudd) who has a crush on Tevin (Rob Hubell) who is a friend and co-worker of Paul Rudd’s character.
Crabtree shares, “It was a delight to perform with this hilarious fraternity of talented actors. I’ve never laughed so hard or had so many bruises from all the fun stunts. It was one of the most relaxed and creative sets I’ve ever worked on.”
Colleen Crabtree recently completed filming “Opposite Day” in which she leads alongside Pauly Shore. She currently stars with her husband Dan Rothenberg in their hit autobiographical play “Regretrosexual – The Love Story.”
After playing to sold out houses for the past 12 weeks, and receiving rave reviews from the “Los Angeles Times,” “LA Weekly,” “Back Stage West,” and others, “Regretro” is on its second extension at Hollywood’s Hudson Guild Theatre.
In 2007, Crabtree starred in HBO’s U.S. Comedy Arts Festival winner “Closing Escrow,” and also appeared on USA Network’s “Monk.” The Groundlings alum has been on the rise since she appeared as the harried mother of four in a Progressive Insurance commercial (“Who wants to be quiet?”).
“I Love You, Man” also stars Rashida Jones and Jaime Pressly. The film is currently shooting in Los Angeles.
Crabtree is repped by APA.
